Shadows stretch longer across the Strand, footsteps echo in empty alleyways, and the city’s historic homes seem to whisper their secrets just a little louder.
It is in these moments that our Spooky Galveston Ghost Tours come into their own.
Walking with Spirits on the Strand
For more than 25 years, Galveston’s Original Strand Ghost Tour has carried curious souls through the city’s storied past. What began with the legendary Dash Beardsley continues today as we guide guests past haunted saloons, Victorian storefronts, and down streets still touched by the echoes of the Great Storm of 1900.
Each tour is more than a walk; it is a passage into the city’s restless history. Guests have heard phantom footsteps trailing them, caught glimpses of shadows darting into doorways, and felt the unmistakable sensation of being watched from above from buildings that have seen the rise and fall of Galveston over centuries.
And yet, the Strand is only the beginning.
Join us as Spooky Gin has collaborated with Jen from the Galveston Island Market to create the Seance Sisters as a way to provide spooky markets and events in a new way in Galveston, and for their first event, The Séance Sisters are hosting The Restless Spirits of the Menard House.
This season, we step beyond the streets and into the candlelit parlor of one of Galveston’s oldest surviving homes: the Menard House, built in 1838. Here, the Séance Sisters will host an event unlike any other: The Restless Spirits of the Menard House.
Beneath the glow of flickering candles and the creak of antique floors, we’ll call upon the spirits who linger in this historic home.
Guests will experience an evening of storytelling, psychic exploration, and a theatrical séance that blurs the line between history and the supernatural, with the Austin Seance leading 3 Seance sessions in the home!
The Menard House holds centuries of memories, joys, and tragedies within its walls. Who will answer when we knock upon the veil?
